Title: Business Name
Post by: Clarity Cleaning Solutions on July 09, 2008, 07:35:45 pm
I am trying to think of a new business name. Have thought of a couple, i.e. Squeaky Clean, etc, but I am after something a bit more professional sounding!

Any ideas? How did you come up with the name of your company??

Cheers

I could do, just thought that sounded a bit too obvious and like I hadnt put any effort into it!

I live in between Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes.

leighton keynes cleaning, maybe Milton Buzzard cleaning, people will ask questions.

Buzzard window cleaning could be good for marketing.

some people incorperate their last name, or area seeing as even if you move the work will still be in that area and a ready set business for if you sell it. Allot of these names sound familiar or already used. Abbreviate if possible, because shorter names are quicker to right cheques out too, eg scwcs is mine for two areas and Window Cleaning Services.
It takes a while to think of something professional.

When I was thinking of a name I was going to use "Something" Window Cleaning... But chose Southern Cleaning Services so that in the future I could expand into other cleaning activities without having to change my company name then.

I do have a middle name but it is Edward.

My fear of using my initials is someone clever hoodie coming along and graffiting my van by adding a 'K' on the end it!

Same reason as to why I just use my surname + the word "services".  It allows me to change things later on if I wish to.  Bearing in mind that when I first registered as self-employed back in 91, I was doing a little window cleaning, some freelance driving, and some merchandising for an advertising company.  Although the stuff other than W/C has fallen by the wayside, I still am registered like that in case I ever want to change direction.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

I have decided that I am going to go with Aqua Cleaning Services

It'll be nice and easier for customers to write out cheques to ACS!
