Title: I wonder how many of us have dealt with the same custys

When i go to price up new house owners windows, while chatting most have moved from different areas, i wonder if any on here have had any of my custys before.

I've chatted to other cleaners in my area and have found i have some of their dumped customers. Doesn't take long to find out why they were dumped either.


I also have five houses next door to each other and each one is a complete messer. Every one wants a different frequency clean and every one will want a different day other than the one i turn up on. Because they are all old people i havn't had the guts to dump the lot of them.  ::)

i chatted to another cleaner who was over the moon he had picked up a mother and daughter in the same street untill i told him about how they messed me about and i had dumped them

I've found on occasion that when a customer gets dumped for messing by another w/cleaner they learn a lesson and don't mess me around when I take them on. Certainly not all learn that they can't mess with a man's livelihood though and they get dumped again.

I compared notes recently about a particular new customer.  I sensed she might be a messer so I phoned the guy who used to clean for her (though I wasn't certain if it was the exact same house).  Turned out he was still cleaning for her.  It's starting to look like she only wanted me to do her glass conservatory roof while keeping him on for the windows (he doesn't have WFP).  She only wanted the roof done on my first visit.  I thought "fair enough" as it would have been quite an outlay to have the roof and windows done on one visit.  No problem doing the roof instead of the windows a couple of times a year.
Of course, she has no idea that we know each other and she hasn't phoned him yet.  He told me about some of the ways she has messed him about.  Nothing major but certainly a fair irritation value and certainly enough for me to consider dumping.  He reckons he only still goes there because he has another customer a couple of doors away.  I have a few customers further along the road.

No what i mean is, theres people from all over the country on this site, i wonder if someone who cleans in say Manchester has a custy but they move away, say to my area and i end up getting them, we talk to each other on here but not knowing we have had tha same custy, so not talking about in the same area.
