Having not a lot of experience in commercial quotes, I'd appreciate some help with this one.
I come to a figure myself for a monthly clean - all windows, balcony glass, and skylights. But would like to see how close or far off I am.
All done WFP
Just after a ball park figure.
Thanks

That's the jobbie.... Thanks Clean Dude Window Cleaning

Please..... :-*

£125.00 per visit
-
hard to quote that one.
I think that's one of those jobs where you sigh as you get out of the van each month.
lots of messing about getting onto balconies/going through building :-//
-
I think you should ask people how long it would take them, then take it from there.I work everything out on time spent x amount i wish to earn hour.If you price per a window that would'nt include any messing about like getting on/off balcony or locked doors and access. A over all time spent is best method of pricing.
Just my thought

that's what I do as well
some jobs are more messing about than cleaning!

for £125 a would not even get out of the van tbh.
how many windows are there ? how many balconies are there ?
hard to quote something like this as it would be guess work,

Depends on what you want to earn in a day, if you can complete the job in a morning then £125 would be reasonable, you might be happy to earn that in a day. A lot of newbies would.
-
a days money

To be honest the balcony's are quite easy to get to, and all the other windows, and skylights follow an easy logical order - I figure 4 hours ( after a couple of cleans) should see the job done.
I've sent my quote off, so we'll have to see :)

£125.00 per visit
Havin a laugh,do you mean per visit without cleaning them ie just a quick visit lol.
-
Well.. I thought it time to chase my quote up.
The reply was ' no, we have chosen someone considerably cheaper' :o
They must chosen a monkey to clean this job, and paid in peanuts !
I know my quote was very reasonable for the service offered. :-\
-
So what was your quote?
-
£125.00 including the glass inside the lobby, and both sides of the balcony glass :-\
-
To be honest @£125 you wouldhave hated doing this job and I bet that you are better off without this job...sometimes big jobs are good but I suspect this one would have be a PITA.
Cheers
Dave.

I thought it fair, and reasonable price - But if I quoted a lot higher than the other company, what are they charging?
I don't believe they can offer a reliable and professional service for a lot less than I quoted.
Just don't like being told my quote was a lot higher than someone else's, when I know my quote is not just priced to clean windows, but to provide the highest possible service, and for the customer to have complete assurance in the person doing the job.

what area do you live?
-
North Cornwall

Commercial is very competive most quotes i give i dont get because there's allways someone doing it half the price ::)
on that place some idiot has more likey quoted £80.00 a one man band on the dole or something!!

Sometimes you don't know what is going on with your competitors, I lost out on a very large contract this month (over €60,000.00 for one clean inside and out 70 big buildings). It turned out that the company I lost it to have done it at 32,000 as a loss leader to get in the door for the overall contract cleaning contract for next year. They will lose over 10k on the contract how can I compete with that.
It does go to show that there is always someone out there who will have a reason to do it cheaper.
Put it down to experience and go on to the next one (only after drowning your sorrows very deeply) , thats my advice :)
