Title: tunisian rug

hi guys ive got a tunisian rug to do it has this label on i was just wondering what to use and is there any dangers

Maybe it's because I'm no rug expert but a pic of the backing and the face may be more useful.

all the tunisian rugs i have delt with in the past, the colours are very loose
so test, test and test again. You may have to walk away.
Dry powder might work but i dont use it

Hi Daryl i think your right ive noticed on odd sections it looks like the black part of it has run i will take a picture of it and post it. it doesnt look that dirty but it does smell abit of dog

It could be an isolated problem from a spillage or spotter, but I bet if you towel test it on the back you will hand it back. ;)

Blacks are worse than reds when it comes to sorting out  after.

Or you could ask Dave 'put a hose on it' Liahona for his advice.

Check colours by spraying different colours with your cleaning solution and using a white towel and blot, if colour transfers to the towel you have a 'bleeder'

clean it with an acid rinse, this should stablise the dyes and dry with a blower, quick drying is a must.

I'm wiwth Mike on this one. Contact Dave. He can be reached at a County Show in the South East over  the next few days helping a poor london boy grow his business.

Africans are proper bleeders. (I only know this from reading and Dave). Maybe require Ausrelian techniques to handle properly.

Dave, where art though. Also need to know how many mars bars you require ;)

Hi Bill
Looks like a real "bleeder" to me.
I would spray(lightly) with a acid rinse and blot,
if any transfer leave it alone, but dry it as quick as possible.
If ok try a test with fibre/ bonnet shampoo with some acid rinse added
then you could go over with a fine mist and rub (gently)with nappies,
or wet nappy wring out untill almost dry and rub over.
i have done this quite a few times and you can get a good result.
