Title: NCCA Oriental Rug TRS
Post by: Ken Wainwright on July 07, 2008, 08:55:13 pm
Later this month, the NCCA are running an Oriental Rug identification and cleaning Technical Roadshow to be hosted by Alan Harrison at Olney Rugs in Buckinghamshire. The event sponsors are Solution UK and Chemspec-Europe.

The interest in this event has been amazing. Within a few days of the event being anounced at www.ncca.co. uk and in the Newslink magazine, the day was fully booked. This is the reason that the event has not been mentioned on the internet forums.

The hardworking staff at the NCCA Office are now trying to organise similar events in other parts of the country and if there are spaces available after the short preference period for it's membership, the Association will resume normal service and announce the event on these forums.

Safe and happy rug cleaning :)
Ken

I read this on Cleanntalk, I don't understand the piont of it ???.

to summerise what you are saying;

the ncca are running a course, but hard luck its booked up. we'll run another but unless you're a member you probably won't get a place.

this is about it, as I said I can't see the piont apart from free advertising for NCCA membership

Paul  Pearce told me about this a Couple of weeks ago when I was on a one day Rug Course at Alltec

Even he coud not get a place and he is Director

Obviously I was disapointed and which I had sent my NCCA exam paper back as Alans Rug operation has been of interest to a lot of us for several years

Off to my Rug plant

Hi Guys

One thing which came across strongly at the CCDO was the interest in Rug and leather cleaning, both seen as growth markets in an otherwise diminishing business(carpet).

It should certainly be possible to arrange a vist to a rug plant via the forum,

Alternatively we could have a 2 day CCDO, Day 1 split between rug and leather.

Day 2 internet, leaflets etc i.e marketing and stain removal.

What do you guys think ?

Cheers

Doug

I agree too Doug,

We certainly have the materials and resources to cover such an idea but it's up to the collective to get behind it so as Doug says, what do you think?

I'm up for anything that extends and improves CCDO.

Enjoyed this years a lot and also learnt a lot and I'm sure that many more people will attend the next one after we all raved about it on here.

No Len I do believe you. you are one of the most creative carpet Cleaners on No  You would be on my heros list but you are a bit of a pain  ;D ;D

Just  know of someone else working on this idea

I am at present looking for pullies and ways to fix them so I do not pull the beams down as large rugs weigh a ton when wet.

regards

Pictures IT is not my strong point should be but I never sit still long enough to figure it out.
