Just for getting up onto flat rooves, over gates etc.... are they a phaff to unfold? Had a play with the ones in B&Q today, seemed tricky, but do you get used to them?
Rarely use ladders for anything else than above... so cant see the point in carrying a full set.

bought a set a while ago - used them a couple of times, complete waste of money, they aren't safe - buy something like zarges
-
Cheers mate :) zarges?
-
yeah they're the best ladders out there - very expensive though.
want a web link?

Thanks for that :) Good range of products!
But..... isn't their combination ladder exactly the same as the B&Q one?
-
I'll have a look
-
had a look - I'd very very much doubt it is the same - however I could be wrong.
have you had a look at their telescopic ladders, not cheap!!
I have a pair of the 3section trade ladders - brilliant ladders (although they're only used for changing the bulb in the floodlamps around the house!)

Sure. Safe as houses. This is the advert that B&Q doesn't want you to see ...

I got mine from Jewson, 52 quid. It looks stronger than the B&Q one, especially the hinges. Used it quite a lot over the last 3 wks, without any incidents..But although it feels solid in use, I'm Very, Very wary of it. The day I trust it completely will be the day it folds up on me...ouch, wish I hadn't said that :o
Having said that its been a really useful bit of kit. I'm using them on commercial kitchens internal cleans. To access everything Ive needed to, I've had them set-up in every combination there is. Saved me loads of time and hassle. Not too much of a phaff to fold once you work it out.
But if you don't need all the Transformer stuff, just get a small slider type.

Ouch! Makes me laugh, that guy just keeps on selling the ladders... even when hes flat on his face on the floor! :P
Those telescopic ones scare me... worked on some a year or so back and... I tell ya, I couldn't wait to get back down!
