4 litres is just enough for 2 coats in a SWB Vivaro,.... I'd get an extra 1 litre can for touching up etc.

Cheapest place I know to get it is www.surecleansystems.com

Got mine from Pure Freedom, was £75 I think. Arrived yesterday, still haven't applied it yet..... thats tomorrows project! The kit has the rollers and gloves etc, so seems like a good deal.

Noooooooooooooo don't go for the black if you want it to look good  :o

It look terrible especially after a few weeks.  Spend an extra fiver or so and go for blue. That looks MUCH better. The grey doesnt look so good either so avoid that. The red looks great in a red van.

Please please please stay away from the black.

Also a kit with 4 ltrs will do a good job on Vivaros and the like. If it is a medium wheel base you may want an extra litre.

The kit has plastic gloves which believe me you will need. A couple of brushes and rollers. The rollers are designed to give a very good finish.
I think the kits are good value for money. Yes you could buy a 4 ltr tin and use your own paint brushes but I promise you you wont get such a good finish and you will use more P/cote.

Did I mention not to get the black?

The grey looks OK.

That black looks good from a distance but if it is protectakote it will look orrible in a few weeks..  honest.

Have a look on my site www.purefreedomsystems.co.uk/protectakote.aspx and look at the van done in red. I took that picture myself. The blue looks just as good.

or save a small fortune, get a 4ltr tin of non-slip, paint from B&Q, its made by International - better, cheaper, easier to apply and don't stink the van out for a month.

both our vans are protectacoted but I bought a pickup 2 months ago and painted it with the B&Q stuff - its definitely better stuff, its chemical, oil and waterproof

£25 a tin.

I have to say that personally I didn't find the smell of it that bad at all,.. it didn't really bother me!
I went for the grey, which I reckon looks great in my van, and I'm very pleased with the results. I ripped out the tank & gear Friday night, painted it Saturday, put it all back in Sunday and was at work bright and early Monday morning!

Couldnt you do the settee in blue protecta-coat , thereby waterproofing it as well ?

shouldnt you have ripped the old ply out first, whats to stop the water getting in at the door area and then sitting under the ply just rotting the van ? ? ? ?

It'll find a way in,...

Rip up the ply in a week or 2 and it'll be soggy underneath.

my old van had a ply floor which i sealed all the gaps and then painted on top, the water still got in, hence the new van has no ply, ive just protectakoted the floor and covered the floor with rubber door mats that are cable tied together, if someone could tell me how to post a pic id show you what i mean.
