I've only ever used brass ettorre channels & was wondering what the differences are between using brass or s/steel channels?

Try the Unger ergotec handles and stainless steel channels, no need for end clips, we use them all the time now.

What about rubber Ian, do you have to use unger rubber or can you still use other brands?

I've only ever used pulex standard.(tried pulex soft once but didn't like it)

How does the rubber stay in place if no end clips are used?

theres like a spring you operate with your thumb in the middle this has 2 points on which hold it in place

Thanks

Does this work as good as end clips then?

I used brass for years. I found that after dropping them a few times they got battered around the ends. Been using stainless steel for last few years, light, quicker when changing rubbers and just as durable.

If your getting a stainless channel get the ettore channel and the pro grip handle from ettore and your better putting clips on the end to.Unger do plastic ones that fit on any squeegee if you dont use clips the rubbers dont last long and they are also crap without them.

Makes no difference, but brass looks nicer.

Hi,

Have gone back to brass just as a change after  4 years steel. I find them more solid with a heavier  better weight.  The handle lets them down as the hand grip is not long enough as in the stainless steel pro-grip.
