I parted with a quid for this socket drive at a car boot. It works a treat
-
I cut it down, heated it with a blow lamp and pushed it in to the brush socket, it melted in nicely.
I did have to turn the other end down to fit the Cleantech adapter. If manufacturers made them, we wouldn't have to cobble them.
-
Nice one Dai, keep it well oiled or the pure will rust it, did you use araldite?

No just the heat, the plastic melted over it and bonded. I made this one first but it was useless because it swivelled beyond 90 degrees and was unusable
-
Nice one dai.
I control my swivel by adjusting the length of tube, If I want it to swivel more I pull more tube from my pole, If I don't want to much swivel I push the tube back into the pole.
-
There is a collar on this one that locks the swivel in any position, good idea being able to adjust it by pushing it into the pole though.

:o I have now seen it all.

etc etc

I dont like it 8)
i dont either, the shade of red looks too much like a post box, you dont want people coming upto with mail do you
now if it was blue, then it just might be ok
-
I'm more concerned about the kitchen worktop.

my best buy from the car boot was a brand new set of ladder mitts for £2
-
My best buy was a bag of odd pole sections that I was able to make a 40' pole with and all for the price of £10 and that included the bag.
-
My best buy was a vintage IWC watch bought for £2 and worth about £500-£600. ;D
Always on the lookout for watches and antiques.
-
Dai, your photos are dated from 3 years ago so you are misleading us.
What with the credit crunch and housing slump and fuel costs, the price would be at least double today, so play fair mate, that would cost at least £2 to do! ;D

I will have to get round to changing the date on the camera, I made that last week.
Another car boot bargain was some stainless steel beer cellar tubing, they are 3 ft long with their own strainers, I was able to do away with the in line strainer, it was giving me grief causing air locks.
