You can use a  barometer  :o

"If you want to be boring you could measure the air pressure on the roof and
at ground level, convert millibars to meters and get the height of the Building from that.

"But in the end the best method would probably be to knock on the caretakers
door and say, `Look; if you tell me how high this building is, I'll give you
this lovely new barometer.'" ;D ;D

I measure buildings like this a lot. I stand where I think I would if I was cleaning the window or the top of the cladding and use the laser to measure the distance to the top of the frame. Saves being embarrassed when the pavement falls away a few feet and your pole isn't long enough. Also handy when you need to know what  particular sized mewp you need to do a job.

Very nice piece of kit, I think I will use that in future. I'll be pointing it at random buildings as I walk past haha.

Any idea on price? It doesn't say that on there.
