Neil do you have a cage ?
-
I had one built for my son out of stainless steel by a local specialist.I designed the frame, I live in Lancaster in the north west of england.
The company have done a couple of frames for other w/cleaners who where so impressed with it when they saw it in the flesh.
I will try to post a couple of pics.
The price was very competitive.

i am currently negotiating with a local fabricators latest price £200 all fitted not a complete cage but will be put through chassis plates under floor etc.
-
Heres a copy of the drawings if it helps you.
I left the tank and all the bits and bobs I wanted fixing to the end plate. They built the frame around the tank. He was not happy with his first effort so scraped it and started again, The frame fits snuggly not to tight that it pinches the plastic when the tank expands in warm weather or the tank slides within the frame because is not tight enough.

neil email me as i'd like to ask a few questions if possible.

anyone have any pic sof the pure freedom cage they sell?
Neil,
the di tnak you have is it connected to a little plate from the clip around the vessel
-
jsmc
The di tank is secured via a normall cobra clamp. The fabricators spot welded screwthreads to the end plate thats attached to the tank cage, so the di clamp is just bolted to the plate as is the pump.
If you want to ask me any questions give me a ring on

A few questions mate.
Is that a Fiat Doblo van?
Did they also fit the cage?
What battery and pump is fitted?
Thanks

how much did the fabricator leave for play on th esides? 15-20mm each side?
also does your tank have sold sides or bars?
spoke witha fabricator yeterday and he told me to give him up a quck sketch and he will take it from there. mos tlikely use galvanised metal. also was told DI water rots materials quicker than normal water. They installed some very large di tanks in my mates work and said this was the case

Is that a Fiat Doblo van? YES
Did they also fit the cage? YES
What battery and pump is fitted? FLOWJET 60PSI, 110 AMP BATTERY
how much did the fabricator leave for play on th esides? 15-20mm each side? NOT SURE AS THE SIDES OF THE TANK ARE SLIGHTLY ROUNDED.
also does your tank have sold sides or bars? BARS.
YOU NEED STAINLESS STEEL FOR THE FRAME.THE COMPANY I USED ARE STAINLESS STEEL SPECIALISTS, THEY BUY LARGE QUANTITYS OF S/STEEL IN BULK SO THE RAW MATERIAL IS VERY CHEAP INDEED, THE COST COMES IN HOW MANY WELDS AND CUTS THEY HAVE TO MAKE TO THE STAINLESS STEEL IN MAKEING THE CAGE.
The cost was cheap considering what I see other companys charging, and the look is superb and it makes a massive difference haveing the hose reel set higher on the cage, theirs no bending down when reeling in or out, everything you need to fix or work on is at the back of the van. THE VAN HAS NO SIDE DOORS, so thats why everything is attached to the back plate.

will probs go with galvanised steel or mild steel. both still very strong
-
Neil, do you have contact details for the fabricators?
-
If you look carefully at the photo of the drawings for the cage above their tel number and fax number are on the righthand side.
