Post by: Bob McKillop on June 21, 2008, 05:13:48 pm
Have seen this bit of kit on the internet (just google PitchWitch)for cleaning roofs from ground. Anyone heard of it or used it, and if so any idea of the price?

I've seen a crummy cheap copy in the sundays for about £12.00 - plug into your hose.

T|otal rubbish.

As for the roof thing - how does it do the ridge tiles, and when did you last see anyone cleaning thier roof?

The thing with that, is that its made for the american market, try pushing that up a tiled roof, it will be a pig of a job, the american roof is made of shingles and the pitchwitch will be easier to operate with that type of roof.

Northerntool do a smaller version,(without  wheels)  just stick a couple of wheels on it and you have a much cheaper one, they do a larger one but I can't find it.

I have cleaned a few roofs over the years I do not do it anymore because I can make the same standing on the floor.

I have also seen others clean roofs and the finish made the house stick out in a bad way.
You could never correctly clean a roof from the ground this is obvious.
