Is this OK?
Idea is to print it on a postcard and leaflet round the town.

This isn't for regular customers, so (i) price it high and (ii) then give a discount.
Something like ...
So for a complete clean to get those window frames as good as new and get the windows back to their original clean state, that'll be £18. The normal pirice for guttering is £3.50 a metre and you've got 8 meters at the front and back so that's 16 times £3.50 which is £56.
That gives a total of £74. With your discount that's £55.50 - saving you nearly £20.
Look, I've got another job on Tuesday afternoon, just round the corner. I can do it on Tuesday morning for £50 - saving you almost 33%. How's that?
So you'll save all that money and I promise that you'll be absolutely delighted with the results.
OK?
It's an old trick that I learned in north Africa - and it works in nearly every case. They look shocked at the original price and are then so relieved when it comes down that they agree without thinking.
Of course, nothing works on everyone every time. But it works on enough people enough of the time.

That's the sort of speech I give!

That's the sort of speech I give!
And it usually works, doesn't it?
But it more than just words. The whole body language and voice tone needs to be right. If it isn't, you can really annoy people who will see straight through it.
Say it with conviction and a real concern to give the customer a good service that gives you a good reward for your work, and your honesty will come shining though - Both you and the customer get what you want.

I do this with my local council that I have a contract with.
I added 20% to the price I wanted and on all my invoices to them its says.
If this account is settled within 14 days of the date then please deduct 20% from the total price.
I have never once been paid later than 14 days because the councils always go for a cheaper price.
I get what i want and they think there getting a bargain, if for some reason in the future there late paying, then I will get an extra 20% bonus.
I had inside help on the planning of this one and it works on most commercials you have a contract with.
