Title: Is wfp an obsession?
Post by: alanwilson on June 16, 2008, 10:29:42 pm
well is it?

I'm convinced it is - and I reckon CIU is for a lot of us too.

By the way went to B&Q today to look at these harris poles, light but horrible clamps and you'd light up like a lightbulb if you hit a power line.

I find the clamps on a harris pole pretty good.

You would light up like a lightbulb if you hit a powerline with a lot of pole not just the harris.
You can put on heatshrink tubing though to help prevent this.

And as most fishing rods and poles say alway look overhead for powerlines if there are some there do not extend your pole

Its madness, I troll through internet pages looking for new products all the time.

I bought a flow meter last week - what for?  I don't care how much water we use.

I have 4 spare pumps and 4 spare varistreams, they are the old ones out of both our vans, nothing wrong with them I just wanted the digital varistreams and thought I'd get new pumps at the same time.  No need.

there's 2 tins of protectacote in the workshop - just in case.

no doubt I'll end up buying a couple of slx's even though I don't need them.

Alex don't sell me any poles for the next 2 years, please.

I won't use water over 001ppm, just because its not perfect - in fact I hate using water @ 001ppm, I even feel let down when the reading goes from 000ppm to 001ppm.

I swear I'm mental, I changed 2 hosetails this afternoon, nothing wrong with the old ones they just looked a bit rough and I thought they could fail sometime this week ( maybe that was a smart thing to do)

I've always been OTT, why is this?  I always the best of everything, thats the whole reason I bought the transporter 174, even though I reckon the expert is perfect for wfp I still aarrggghhh its too much.

I took out a 1000 year lease on a resvervoir at the beginning of the year and I'm still filling it with pure water.

Always was a bit OCD.  ::)

I don't think its an obsession but I can see why you may feel that it is. Its just a slightly easier way of working and people are excited by the possibilities that brings with it, ie more money, less fatigue etc.

Although i am a WFP user I am not totally convinced by it and never will be but there is no way I am going back to lugging ladders around.

This forum can make it an obsession.

if you read too much on here you can feel like your not normal unless you think about wfp every waking hour!
