Title: real wood floor not shiny enough
Post by: angela stone on June 15, 2008, 08:16:31 pm
Hi,

I have a new cust who wants her real wood floor to shine.  I'm not sure if the floor ever has shined to be honest as she strikes me as a bit cuckoo but I will give it my best shot!

So far I have tried Evans High Class (which I swear by cos it works on most floors), pledge wood floor cleaner, and astonish wood floor cleaner.  Nothing is making it shine, it's clean as a whistle though.

She was surprised that I didn't have "one of those buffer things" meaning a machine - as I said...cuckoo!

Any ideas guys?

Ange

You would get a shine with a high speed rotary polishing machine.

hi has it been sealed previously, i mean has it even had any varnish on it or has the varnish been worn off, if the varnish isnt there the high gloss polish doesnt have any thing to lay on,

thanx jonny

I would make sure any exsisting seal is removed and then start again from scratch,  some seals dont take to "other" seals.
