what do you do first glass or upvc?

frame first always.

the reason being, if you clean the glass then the frame you will get marks on the glass when cleaning the frame.

Always frames first  ;)
more detail to the top and sides then glass and final clean to bottom and sill.

I do top & sides, then the glass, then the bottom, then detail.

usually wfp though
