hi dean done the painting over before did not work as water always finds a way through best to lift floor and paint you can always put it back down afterwards rivets should drill out easily enough. ;D ;D

ive just done mine dean and left the ply down. sealed all around the edges . it was fine. just a few touch ups.

Wonder if covering van floor with grease, before replacing ply would be a good idea. Can get a particular type of grease often used to protect metal from seawater.
Just wondering if this would be a good idea or impractical.

i would remove the ply if i was you, you dont want water getting in between the ply and the floor, also if there is any rubber bungs in the floor, remove them so any water spilt can run out.

If the ply is in good nick leave it down and seal the edges with sealant.
Put plenty of protecta coat on edges. The guys at Purefreedom know all the tricks to get a great finnish, they let me know and it looks great. If something looks looks right it probably is.
