Would it be best to have 2 batteries if running 2 pumps? Or will 1 battery supply 2 pumps adequately?
Battery is connected to a split charge relay already.

1 decent battery will easily supply 2 pumps.

my 2 pumps are wired direct to my van battery, no problems in 2 years

Thanks guys.
I shall be running 2 pumps very soon then. Well, actually 4 or 5! I have been using one, plus backpack, plus trolley system for a while. But I want 2 at the ready, and if I strip the old van down that'll be a spare. So technically 5!!
To think it used to be a big decision when to buy a new sleve for my 16" applicator! ;D

Maybe you needed a new sleeve at the same time as a new pump- just before the old one wears, not after its gone.

i got 2 pumps off one battery in back of van running off split relay

i run two pumps from 110 amp battery, works all day, used to be 85 amp and it started to pack in about lunch time, i think it might have been damaged. my problem is that when one pole gets switched off the pressure of the other drastically reduces, has anybody ever came across this frustrating problem?
