Title: Steam cleaner to recommend?
Post by: adrian@abbey on June 12, 2008, 10:20:30 am
I've got a big cleaning contract, cleaning student accomodation and was wondering whether anyone had any recommendations in regards to Steam cleaners to clean tiles and showers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Adrian

Yes - be careful what you buy. I got one a few years ago - seemed fine on a small demonstration so purchased one but it has not moved in about 3 years because unsurprisingly it generates lots of steam - the problem then is you cant really see very well.

So until recently I would not have considered another one. But a friend of mine who does mobile car valeting paid quite a bit of money for one and he was raving about. It was only then that I found out that his unit has a vacuum/extractor that seems to work along the same principles as a HWE carpet cleaning machine - he now uses it for car upholstery and reckons it is dry much quicker than his old wet vac

Dont know makes or models but shouldnt be too hard to by googling.

Hope this helps

Mick

Hi

I do EOT cleans even student ones.

I have been using the Vax steam cleaner £80.00 from Argos, or bid on ebay.

Fantastic, saves me loads of scrubbing and time.has taken a 12 hour cleans to an 8 hour clean.
