I watched a live demo in Portugal once, cleaning smoke contaminated cable runs on a production line, so I have seen the set up and investigated it myself some time ago.

Not sure if I can help but happy to try.

hi martin,
cleanit up newbie here, a friend of mine ran an
ice blasting company, in cumbria until a few months ago.
he ran it for a couple of years but gave it up due to lack of
work. i once gave him a hand on a job at british gypsum
(plaster board manufacturers) cleaning a drying plant.
fantastic system, but very noisy as it req a huge compressor
to run it. it also gave of a lot of heat at the hand tool, and
very strenuos work.
regarding the concrete, he tells me that it will clean off
surface dirt with ease, especially chewing gum etc.
however if the dirt is in a porous  stone like sandstone etc
it will only remove it down to a couple of millimetres
hope this helps.
