Been cleaning for a long time(using both methods), never really canvased but getting lots of work at moment. From Splash Cash and Dash window cleaners doing in a bad job.
So if you are using "reach and wash" do it properly or get trained

Why are you bothered the more Splash Cash and Dash window cleaners (as you put it) there are, the more work you will pick up. Fill your boots mate.

The splash and dash brigade cost me a nice apartment job last month. The last crowd did such a bad job that the management company decided never to use WFP gain, but pay twice the price to get someone in with a cherry picker.
I even offered to do a block for free so they could see the results, but they were dead set against it. Those fools give genuine WFP'ers a bad rep.

Yep, customer is dead against it, due to the last person being an idiot.
Got a very very very upset call about it, saying windows were bad, and that the last WC made a mess and never got them right, after I cleaned I got that call, guess what, went back there, inspected the windows, stupid builders splashed 3 windows, completely tap watered, she was mad at me for using the system, and that she heard it all before, with all the marketing talk, called me brainwashed, ridiculous, always nice, all of the sudden mad. Went to inspect, said do you believe me? I've always been a honest person, but that is tap water.
She's giving me the chance next time, and her mind is sort of put to rest, and she's nice again. I'm doing my best, but boy, people think wfp is a magic wand seriously, think they can spend ££££ and start using it just like that. No way that's possible.

i know don't mind because i pick up all the work, but they are giving wfp a bad name. Each village i do it seems they are new window cleaners with these big expensive van(some from ionics) a lot of there customers moan and i get the work,
But i feel sorry that they spend all the money buying the system and then do a bad job
as i said (spish spash cash and dasssh)

here we go again - bringing systems into the argument. I have an ionics system - dont feel sorry for me! when you buy an ionics system you get free training with the BWCA I found this to be useful as I had never cleaned windows before (other that my own home) However, Ive got to say its not rocket science! personally I'm a perfectionist, I also love cleaning and would no way leave a job without it being to my standards, Ive also never lost a job yet although I have only been going since March - but when I do lose one - it won't be because I havent done a great job, of this I am sure. It doesent matter what system people have if they are going to work badly "splish, splash cash and dash" they will do so - no matter what job/system) they do/use.

Nice to hear your doing well jimmy1 as we started around the sametime. Dont always blame it on the new guys who use wfp doing a bad job as its the people who have charged too low for the job that they rush it because it is underpriced, ive picked up loads of work from some big window companys around my area as the prices they charged where just well under, example i got 3 jobs last week all 3 bedroom houses with cons on back, i got 2 for £16 and one at £18 and the one at £18 was paying last cleaner £10, i done 1st clean she was really impressed and said she would like the monthly payments to be £20 so work that one out.

Proper training always helps, be it from ionics or an experienced cleaner. There do seem to be more window cleaners around with pure water that dont actually know what they are doing or dont care.
I think that too many are trying to make their water go too far and dont rinse enough.

iv plenty of flow & rinsing im just saying its not that every body is a cow person , its ex that cownts even if you have tranening you sill lack ex as thers so many fators , its the same when you start with sqegy 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

What I thought when I read samuel28's comment was not properly trained people with pro systems, but barrel boys like samuel who try to do things without a full understanding of what they are about.
There are some houses that catch inexperienced people out. (seals that leach black stains etc).

I tried rushing 8 hours work into 5 hours today. Managed it and saved 200 litres of water by turning the flow of water up to the maximum flow I could possibly keep up with. Hard work being a cowboy but more profitable if your customers don't notice the difference :)
