Title: One of those days
Post by: cbcs on June 10, 2008, 04:19:45 pm
Do you ever have them?

Did a fascia, soffit, barge board & con roof clean yesterday. Quoted it 2 month ago at £400.00. Guy said yeah yeah no problems just go ahead and do it. Yesterday when we'd finished he was well pleased and said we'd done a right good job. Said he'd pay me online.

This morning, saw his wife and she had right old go at me, saying we'd done a crap job etc.

Thought f*** this can't be arsed with the hassle. So just walked away.

About a month ago my worker fell in a pond in a customers garden, I did post pictures on here. Anyway cleaned the windows again today and he reckons the lad killed his carp. I said well the lad hasn't been back to work yet and he's on about sueing me. He soon shut up and went indoors.

I'm owed in over £1000.00 and always am.

I just can't be arsed with the hassle of all these 2 bob millionaires and I'm thinking of packing/selling up.

Maybe tomorrow, I'll feel different.

Rant over.

Oh yeah, while I'm on one.

The cost of f***ing diesel is stupid, it costs for too much to fill up.

I have far too much work on, always behind, can't catch up.

Not trying to be funny with you, but you need to stand back from your business and re-assess it. Work out the most profitable work and hike the prices up on your lower work. Becoming the busy fool gets you down and makes you feel worthless. Take a break and work out what's important and change it for the better.

Sympathy ronnie, but that is quite funny.

If you use a hot system and an electric reel you can work faster with less effort.

If you're always behind and struggling to keep people happy and on time read the thread ive just replied to " Ideal rounds". We were in exactly the same position and we had to make some tough decisions. Best thing we ever did.

When you think about it 1k is nothing.  Most people being paid monthly are owed more than that before pay day.  I have no idea how much I'm owed, don't care either as I know it will come in.
