Title: finally got da van!!
Post by: mr D on June 09, 2008, 07:53:53 pm
after a year in business and some hard saving i've finally got my 1st van. its an ex-british gas renault kangoo 1.5 diesel its a 2002 plate and done 51,000miles. i paied just £2500 for it, which where i live is a bargen to say the least! every thing else i saw in my price range were x/y reg with 100,000miles plus :o

i get some signwriting from ebay cost me £75 and took about an hour to put it on my self and bobs your uncle fannys your aunt.

what dose every one think?

ive had the signwriting on it just one week and ive already picked up 4 jobs, 2x gutter cleans at £110 each and two regula w/c jobs at £16 + £12 from the van alone. so theres the proof that a sign writen van DOSE bring in new work.

Your van looks the business dude.

I had a nicely sign written van for years, and got bugger all work from it.  I had been working my patches for years before that with a car though, so probably got all I was going to get by people seeing me about.

Remember Dean that you don't have to spend a fortune to get a wfp system, mine cost me about £500, and that includes the ro! and it does exactly the same job as a megabucks Ionics system!! Good luck mate!!  :)

Very nice.....Love the harpoon on the roof  ;D… wouldn’t like to be behind you with that sticking out  :o… but after a second look I don’t think ill like to be in front of you aswell…
Apart from that it looks great from the side as long as you stay aside of me  ;D…

Car thieves can 'clone' stolen vehicles.  The first you know is when you get a summonse for offences committed in 'your' vehicle.

They steal a vehicle the same model and year as yours, then get a crooked motor dealer to make up plates the same as yours.

They can then use the vehicle and any probs end up on your doorstep.

As to the signwriting:  Are the initials in the 'window' supposed to stand for Dean's Cleaning Services'?  The 'C' looks more like a 'G'

arr so i was right to delete the VRN.

the DCS in the window does stand for deans cleaning services. it may look like a g to you but no one else has bin silly enough to get it mixed up.

as for the harpoon. lol your fine in front of me but if following me then i'd stay bcak if your vecheal is over 7foot. but like i give a hoot! you drive in to me its your fault! should of left adaquate breaking distance! thats what the judge says any way.  ;)
