A dormer is a window that's set vertically on a sloped roof. A ormer has its own roof, which may be flat, arched, or pointed. this can be on any house not just a bungalow ;)

This woman reminds me of a topic I posted about some time back....... Binned the witch.
-
im gonna start being a bit stricter with getting rid of customers that just take the mick
-
cant wait to see what her windows look like in the morning

Have you been short of work recently?
3 a day = 15 per week = 60 a month....
How are you managing to do em all ???
-
is a challet bungalow???????????
-
She sounds like a pain in the butt. Drop her now it will save you doing it later
-
I know it will take a bit of time but go back round and do half of an inside window, then tell her what you think of her, done this before a couple of times and found it quite fun actually, they can take it one way or the other.
I know my work is right and will not be told otherwise by people who know sod all about it.

work 4 days a week, 10 - 12 a week new ens is average for me, 6 today! , never short of of work no, and i struggle to fit them in and am behind most of the time which i know is a bad thing...im planning on getting a second van on the road...that or either drop some cause i cant keep on like this
-
Don't drop them if they are good paying customers. Get another man/van on and fill his days up. Then you are making money when you are sitting at home some days.
Dropping work may just invite another cleaner to mop up and do it themselves.
-
yeh thats what i intend to do

I had one that really f***ed me off yesterday.
An office I do, every other visit is inside.
Did the outsides, took the kit needed inside, was just about to start, some snotty tart decided then that it wasnt worth doing the insides and proceeded to inform of this. Her reasons were, theres no money in petty cash/they're not dirty (they were minging)/its just not worth it. Despite my reasonings with ther that there was an agreement for them to be done every other visit I guess once youve said what you need to say and they still stone-wall you its time to go.
Anyway, it was just one of those situations where you leave and wish you'd said something else. The thing that annoyed me most was the agreement Id had wasn't made with her, so who was she to break it. The nice thing about this job is its £53.00 and they pay out there and then unless the wicked witch from the west isnt in.
Anyway, if it re-occurs they'll be window-cleanerless, but think I'll be phoning them to speak to the boss.
I reckon she probably got binned by her old man over the weekend or totally slaughtered at the local bikes drinking establishment.

Sounds all too familiar Matt. I tend to find if your real firm and stand your ground they cave, but not always. How long does the job take?
Seems a bit drastic to bin it unless the dough isn't right.

dormer, thats the kitty :d
Yeah, a perfectly good roof with a garden shed plonked on it ;D
-
guess what guys....i bet you cant guess

Ive decided on this one, that if it happens again then theyre binned. Problem has happened because sometimes I get lethargic with my custys and they then try to drop one on you and your unprepared. Next visit I'll be waiting for her and her attitude.
I should have binned them then and there, its not the first time, it happened about a year or so ago. My work load is blossoming, I dont need unreliable women who are suffering from PMT screwing my life around even if they want to screw their own around :o
