hi guys, hope all well and busy, still in small van with no water on board but just using a bin and custys water as usual, been doing this for years but need a bigger van with tank in, do you guys take you tank full od half full to jobs? and do you take your machine out of the van (if its on wheels) and move it around or do you leave it onboard and just get hoses out with lance or fsc? everyone seems to have their own ways of doing things. i worn out lifting ,machine in and out of van and packing all my stuff in small van but a big van is too much expense, especially with no contracts yet, and winter approaching. maybe next year if i have a good winter work wise, just wondering if you guys have an easy way of doing things? i have to load and unload my van around 6 times a day at jobs and when get home as i cant leave my van loaded incase of theft, its all a back ache but im doing ok at mo work wise. :(

Hiya, I personally have mine onboard ( built onto a 1000 litre tank )so no lifting in and out for me and when I get to customers house I get hosepipe onto their water supply and use their water, only have the big tank in case the customer is gonna be out or there is no easy way to get water from their property

I`v got wheeley bin set up and keep van loaded,I back up to my house at night and have all my gear connected with chain so if they get in they have to cut chains and try and get washer through side doors.I have a big hose reel screwed to van floor and connect to custys water.I have found water pressure has dropped in my area lately and i keep draining my tank and having to wait for it to fill which is a pain.I was at a big job and connected neighbours tap up as well. ;)I reckon council drop pressures when it`s hot.Ikeep all my gear on van and have 150 foot of hose.My vans a new shape citreon dispatch and is just big enough.

thanks guys, i will have to get bigger van! ionly have 30 metres pressure hose in 3 sections but the couplers are qucik connect and dead heavy so they drag all the time. pain! if i get another section so its 40 metres i might lose pressure!

no 3 x 10 metres clinton!! :)

i have all mine in a box trailer with a 1000 litre tank in , i have a high pressure hose reel on front of trailer so when i arrive on job i just pull hose out and start work , as for filling the tank get in touch with local water board and buy a licence so you can use the standpipes it will fill a 1000 litre tank in about 2 minutes .

Good tips there..never thought about the wheelie bin... ;)

hi clinton
yes the licence is easy to get, i cant remember just how much it costs but they send you a standpipe with a metre on it and you pay for the amount of water used it is very cheap once licence is paid for.
if you check my website on one of pages there is a picture of powerwasher in the trailer.

i already have a box trailer , but when on site just use a water butt. i have a flat bed trollet which takes up to 500kg that the water butt sits on and every now and then move washer and butt. seems easier because only need one length of hose and it seems easier. 100metres of water hose to butt is cheaper to maintain and carry.
