hi all just about to swap to a van system is it much faster and better to use at the moment i use a backpack on a trolley any tips cheers andy

nope, youll get tangled and caught on everything and get really stressed out, but at least you aint got lump round a trolley all day long ;)

Like everything else we argue about this but if you want the definitive best way I well tell you. Very few agree with me, but if you want to know i'll tell.

also having a backpack is so handy not having to reel out 100m of microbore!

It all depends on your work. I'd recommend a backpack as a compliment to a van mount system. I use my van mount for 95% of my work, and find it sooooooo much better than the trolley,... but what suits my work may not suit yours,...

just buy a 300litre tank, pump and vari meter hey presto a van mount for under £300. Use a 50 m garden hose or buy a 100m 8mm hose from purefreedom, gardeners or windowcleaning warehouse. job done. thats all i have done. I run the ro at night and fill the tank in the landy, I have a purefreedom trolley for those difficult jobs which are few and far between

300ltr i wouldn`t i would by bigger much bigger if you can,300ltrs will keep you going to about 12.30 if your lucky.

the guy is working with a backpack at the mo, wouldn't think he uses more than 300 litres . but yes if you use more than 300 litres a day don't buy a 300 litre tank .

Turned van mount about 2 months ago.........So much better.
Got fed up with filling the trolley all the time.
The art is in laying the hose out.

I used a backpack on a trolley for 18mths then changed to vanmount 8 weeks ago.I've got through most of my round since changing.
It is so much easier and quicker,no more lugging 25 litre containers about or refilling them every night.I used algarde silicon hose with the backpack and it used to catch on everything and drive me insane,but with the microbore it hardly catches on anything.
I did buy an slx pole at the sametime which made life easier,only having to use one pole for everything.
I use a 300 litre tank but usually come home at lunch time, so I top up then if needed.It gives me the use of about 500 litres in a day,(still only got 200 litre water butt in garage) but rarely use more than 300 litres.
I wished I'd got a better hose reel,it only just holds 100 metres but keeps comimg of and jamming it up,have to get this sorted.
For me the vanmount is far better, it might depend on your type of work,I do mainly largish detached houses,anyway good luck with it I'm sure its a good move.

Yeh...no more 25ltr containers to hump ;D

been on the vanmount for a week now, so much quicker, finishing about 1pm instead of 4pm most days. and no more humping about, still take trolley incase its needed.
