Title: leather suite - Advice please
Post by: markpowell on June 05, 2008, 09:54:00 pm
Just had a customer ring me, he has a dark brown leather suite with pigmented finish.
His wife has dropped nail varnish on it and he wants me to have a look. Am i right to believe that i would have to remove the nail varnish which would damage the leather finish then re-colour?
If this is the case think i will have to walk away and book myself on the next LTT course, i have done the 1 day course but only covered cleaning.

Hi Tony

Your right, it probably will end up taking the finish off. But if you do use a remover you could use a fine artists paintbrush and delicately take it off gradually. Then if you have to re-colour and finish its only a small amount.

Good luck!
