Title: Extending your pole
Post by: dai on June 03, 2008, 09:02:29 pm
There have been a few posts recently on here and the DIY board on extending the length of your pole.
This is a simple adapter I use to extend the Zensorflex fishing pole by 12ft.
The adapter is a piece of an old oar, the taper was just about perfect to fit the Zensorflex base section.
I turned the other end down to 30mm, this fits into the Unger no 4 section, so I have added Unger 4 and 5 sections to increase the length by 12 ft.
The bottom shot is the Harris extended by 6ft, along side the extended zensorflex.
I can now do most 3 floor windows with the Harris, including the ones in this shot.

As I already had the Unger teleplus pole, It only cost me £21 to get to that height, and I only have one job that I need it for.
I have just paid out 3 grand for 4 tickets to Indonesia, anyone got any ideas for magic carpets.

At the moment everything extends as it should, but if in the future I can't get it to extend then I shall use viagra with no embarrassment at all. ;D

Hi Dai,
Malc and Squeejay, its fun making it bigger  ;D I spend days at it.

Dont forget !

The Zensorflex and gangster as a combination reach 33ft (actual length) weigh 4lb 11oz / 2.067kg and cost about £68.

Its getting confusing having soo many poles and extensions etc especially for newbies, maybe we need a "Highest, lightest,£££ cheapest and not forgetting Groundhog- fastest, index.

Think I will start collecting the data  8)
