Not round here there isn't - solid rain all morning so far and there's not supposed to be any in my area! The global warming people seem to have gone a bit quiet the last couple of months!

Think rain forest. That's the way I think it's going HOT but HUMID! The weather is rubbish here in Tewkesbury- Again. There has been no real prolonged dry spell here since we were flooded in July. Everytime it rains here with any intensity all the drains start to cause floods and our flood plain is so saturated that everytime it rains they begin to flood again, yet I bet if we do have a dry spell Severn trent will start talking about hosepipe bans and the like - usual excuse is the water hasn't ended up in the right places nothing to do with the amount of water they lose through their leaking pipes. If we have flooding again like last year then we in Tewkesbury may well lose our supply again - Why? Because the flood barriers around the water works are owned by a charity and severn trent have to pay for their use. The charity has invoiced severn trent for their use and now severn trent have decided that they don't want to pay the full amount and there is now a dispute over the amount and the charity is considering taking the barriers back. Amazing considering the grief that severn trent got because they had no defenses. You wouldn't think they could put a price on protecting the supply but obviously they think they can. Funny that especially as when we had 2 weeks without mains water they still charged us for those two weeks and refused to give any refunds. We were forced to pay their charges unfair or what?

According to the forecaster on GMTV today, the summer is coming next week and its going to be much better than last year. I guess that means its only going to rain 2 days aweek instead of 4

8 inches of rain in May for my town. That's more than we have in the winter months. Perhaps we are going to have an Indian summer again?
