Took my trolley out this afternoon for an hour. Tried it on a house, told the customer about the water and told that i would come back and check them after i had cleaned two of her neighbours. When i went back and they had dried, there was a few spots so i trad cleaned them. Spoke to the guy who i bought kit off and he said that they will be like this for first few cleans. Shall i just carry on leaving the odd spot and hope that the customers dont mind. Or could it be my technique. The tds is 0. Ive got plenty of customers so i am prepared to lose a few. ???

Up till now I have NEVER had a complaint, just keep on getting them spotless with the WFP, forget trad. That way you will learn how all the windows on your round works with the pole, Luke

Wear darker sunglasses and you won't even notice the spots left behind on the glass, lol
-
What you reckon then spend more time on each window or just give a good scrub and rinse then move to next one. If they spot and customers notice shall i just say that they will get better, bare with it

if you spent the time cleaning them with wfp and then gone back over them traditionaly then you have wasted your time wfp them in the first place as you now have to get rid of all the soap you have put back on the glass just tell your customers it may take a couple of cleans. they will come good once you have done them 2-3 times with wfp as many people will tell you.

my advice on first cleans is to go round property doing all frames only when finished return to first window and do them all again this time just cleaning the glass doing it this way does take longer for the first clean but they have always come good using this method.
-
always go round twice on first cleans, if you had gone back and did just the glass on the 2nd clean instead of doing them trad my bet is they would have been spotLESS, i take the frames were upvc, sometimes wood can need 3 cleans.

Wash wash wash rinse rinse rinse.
What I also did on first cleans was do them first connected to the custys outside tap.

Cheers guys. :)

::) Hi, did you do the neighbors houses trad then or wfp?
-
on first cleans.... you can always squeegy off the pure water from the glass on the downstairs...it will only take a few minutes, but at least yiu know the custy will be happy ;)
i dont mind spending a lot longer on first cleans as i know once i,ve got rid of all the hidden dirt , the next and subsequent cleans will be much quicker :D
i try to keep my first cleans for a friday afternoon after i,v earnt my money... ;)

First TFR everything without letting it dry. Second WFP frames, glass and rinse, Third WFP everything again and rinse. No problems and blow the customer away. Complete transformation, brilliant white pvc, no residual dirt to worry about.
Takes time, but you are in it for the repeat business.

One was an upstairs flat that i did trad and one was house that i did wfp, but they are always out at work in the day

I've found the amount of time it takes for a first clean usually impresses the customer anyway so they feel too embaressed to complain of spots. In my opinion some degree of spotting is unavoidable on a first clean - no such thing as perfect! ;)

Two replies that just don't work.
1st. Your squeegeing off the water.....right. You need to have more confidence in wfp or use the correct technique, next time the customer will EXPECT you to squeegee off the water. Bad bad move.
Second reply.
You must be joking, that will take you 4 times as long. TFR all the windows?!! :o :-\
