does anyone know who does the best deal on a 45ft carbon , are they a lot heavier than a 45 ft tucker 6ft section type
-
Hi Darren,
The Tucker poles are quite light weight the 45ft Tucker pole weighs 6.8kg. Exel Univeral WFPs are heavier but more rigid, the 45ft Universal weighs approximately 9kg. The Ergolite cargon fibre pole is more rigid that a Universal pole and weighs just 6.2 kg and is made from 6ft sections.
Kind regards

so, ergo-lite arent that much different from unger in weight? ??? what other advantage does the ergo-lite have then?
-
Leyla,
I was not aware that Unger's High flow pole reached 45ft, do they have a 60ft pole also.

I dont know about 60ft but mines a 45ft pole, i was considering saving to buy an Ergo-lite as i thought they were a lot lighter than unger. :-\
-
Ungers 5 section pole can be adapted to take extra No4/5 sections to take the height up to approx 42ft max BUT wheras the alu is lighter up to approx 35ft the ergolite starts winning hands down around the 35-45ft mark weight wise and handling wise,. you really need to know what you are doing if you go +40 with any pole daily you will NEED the lightest pole on the market. I am still saving for mine :(

i think they will be even lighter by the time i've got the money to splash out :)
