I'll ring them in the morning mate, thanks very much for the offer - I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has a tucker brush though - weight, action on the glass, durability etc.

thanks again matt

link doesn't work mate.

but afd is the company that sells tucker - so why is it £50 for one person but £12 for someone else?

I had a web site on my favorites that i can`t find, anyway to cut a long story short on this website and even Tucker themselves will tell you that the brush is listed as a spare part not a complete brush head assembly. On the website i have somewhere under 5 sub headings on the site it can be ordered as a spare part for £12 for a 9" 12" a bit more but not a lot.

no I'm sorry but there are no prices on the site - in fact I would go as far as to say its an all round rubbish attempt at a site.

no prices
no way of purchasing online
no detailed pics
no incentive to buy

rubbish.

nwh - try and find that for me mate - cheers

I tried to buy just the stock head from Afd (Tucker in the UK) but they don't sell them at that price you quoted NWH and they informed me they have never been sold as cheap as that. You can't even buy them that cheap from TuckerUSA

I dont mean to divert the topic, but do Tuckers fit tanks?
Title: Re: where do I buy a tucker brush from

Yes but i know someone who builds exactly the same tanks as them and he`s cheaper.

Matt
If your near enough or you want to travel they will fit it for you,i measured my tank frame and told him where i wanted the 3 outlets. He made it to the mm,it fitted absolutley perfectly in my tank frame it was a better fit than the 2x tanks i had before. The main benefit apart from the look of the tank is that there is no leaks at all.

NWH

I got my little mits on a tucker brochure this evening.

The 12inch dual trim brush is part number 101 - replacement brush head 9" and 12" £14.55 + VAT

The brush head (part 101) is what is used to attach the brush to the gooseneck.
In the same brochure a "12 inch double trim brush without head" is listed at £42.20+VAT. Look under "Replacement Brushes" in your brochure.

There is no way you will buy a brand new tucker brush for much less.

the diagram points to the BRUSH!

what kind of misleading information is that?

If I were to push them on it they wouldn't stand a hope in northhampton.

I'm not tight with the money - its just the principle

Part 101 is not well described in their brochure, it took me a minute to figure it out. It is a good brush though, shame they don,t make a version to fit a standard pole as I am sure they would sell loads more. Someone is missing an oportunity.

Yes I have the same question, are they ACTUALLY made by Tucker? Luke

I dont think Tucker actually make the brushes, Im fairly certain that a specialist company would do that on their behalf, I think the design is widely used in the States  and We have several different types in stock including very harsh bristle type for brick/stone cleaning
To look at the brushes including the bristles are identical.
Jeff Brimble bought one off me years ago as far as I know he got on well with it.

They're similar in appearance to Tucker brushes (i.e. Unger Hi-Flow), but they're not Tucker brushes because of the stipling effect on the reverse of the stock.
Tucker brushes don't display stipling as much as the brushes shown on ebay and Tucker brushes also have two blue labels running vertically at the ends so IMO they are not genuine Tucker brushes. :) I could be wrong but I don't think so :)
Tucker dupont bristles retain their shape better and longer than imitation copies. I know because I've used and compared both types. Imitation brushes don't give value for money as they quickly lose their shape and effectiveness.
