Recently I had a complaint saying i scratched a custies seal. Didnt think it was me so just put it down to the usual lets blame the window cleaner. But now im getting a bit paranoid have noticed a few light black marks on some white upvc seals. When ive cleaned the window i usually run the brush over the window seal. I always make sure only the bristles touch the plastic. Ive been using a ionics multipole double trim brush. It has got me wondering if the black bristles are leaving very light scuffs on some plastic. Has any one else had this or is it just me being fussy???? ???

No it happens. I used to get the odd red mark from the red rubber on a vikan brush. I took the rubber off and have had 1 customer last year mention about there being black marks.
He was right. Pvc cleaner on a cloth takes it off easily.
It's been almost a year since i had to do it. They haven't looked so bad since.

Quite possibly so...we have noticed a few marks on cills, only one customer has commented to us. I think it is the black surround on the brushes that can mark if not careful.
cream cleaner does usually get them out.

If your going to be doing sills all the time you need to adjust the angle of your brush,adjust it so that the bristles are more flat to the sill.

or get a sill brush

or use a Tucker brush

yes its the plastic part of the head that is scratching the window sill ive had this a few times thats why ive changed to the vikan sill brush
sorry but this time its not a case of lets blame the window cleaner
change your brush to a sill brush
