Good luck Chris.
When youre doing your Jobs canvas in every road you do every few months, you'll soon find you pick up quite a bit in your own areas.
You'll also find its the best move you made, your only limited by what you put into it.
Good luck once again ;)

Good luck Chris, I jacked in my full time job nearly 5 years ago, it felt like I'd regained control of my life! I canvassed very hard for up to 10 hours a day, and within 3 weeks I had gained over 200 customers, it can be done, go for it!!! :)

8) I would like to say good luck, but I don't believe in it! ::)
I will say this though you seem to have what it takes to succeed ! ;D ;D ;D
All the best Chris 8)

I was a little luckier than you, I was handed all mine on a plate, but I was still bricking it, when I handed in my notice from a well paid Job to go self employed that was nearly 11 years ago.
You have a month to get your butt out and canvas it off, get the family to help? canvas on a saturday as well including the afternoon, more people home on saturdays, don't forget the bank holiday next week, you may not want to go out but drive your self and reap the rewards.

looks like me and you in the same boat now matey. I move from my job next week.
all the best

Cheers guys, all my family have said ill be ok, even my mum who is the kind of person who would go through things with a tooth comb has said she doesnt feel this is a bad thing and that all will be fine and that coming from her feels great, im away next week with the family so think thats come at a good time to refresh the batterys.

Chris,
I was once in a similar position when I bought myself out of the army; I was out within two weeks of putting the paperwork in; and - starting from scratch - it took me about two years to get a decent income that covered the bills.
I did have about 10K behind me though, which didn't last long, and I did part time weekend security work to help too; I also humped post bags for Royal Mail via an agency (aka modern day slavery).
I don't know what your financial position is, but if you need a regular income of at least £1.5K per month, then I suggest you go looking for a job, because getting that much work and doing it all; from scratch; is going to be almost impossible within a month.
I don't want to be negative here, just realistic.
Good luck, mate.
Regards,
Tosh.

£1500 of work a month is near impossible to canvass in a month, and do that work at the same time. Unless you get every house in a street, and canvass every single day Sorry pal. You need 4-5 new customers a day, at an average of £12, and then do them at the same time. How the heck are you going to do that?

you will be fine mate, you will just have to put some hours in canvassing for the 1st few months, im in the same boat as you , i had been working for a commercial window cleaning firm for 5 years and got the gooner 5 weeks ago on a saturday night saying there will be no work next week !! plenty off notice nootttt!! sometimes you need that kick up the ar$$ to get you going.
ive got a mate canvassing for me while im working and its going ok at the mo,
i have been getting in the region of £10 - £170 a day , it should cover my bills but im renewing my door license just as a back up as im not sure how it will go in the winter ,
stay motivated mate as some days will get you down and others you will be buzzing!!
