Title: Minibore hose connection
Post by: bassjamm on May 21, 2008, 06:53:03 pm
Hi guys,

Just wondered if someone could please help me.

I'm currently using Tricoflex hose but it's just given up on me after a years solid use.  My Dad's van has a thinner blue hose than mine, we don't know what it is, but it works off the same pump and hose connectors as my system.  I'd like something more like my Dad's hose as it's a lot stronger and has been on there for 2 years without any problems.

I was wondering if it may be minibore as we use normal garden hose connectors and what not...does minibore work with normal garden hose connectors?

Thanks
Jamie

Buy minibore and change all your connections to EZsnap fittings, there stainless steel and will last 10 times longer if you buy the rectus 21 german fittings. All the fittings for pole hoses + minibore should cost about £30 if you buy a pack, for hose and fittings www.essentiallypure.co.uk.

Thank you for that...however, i'm interested to know whether or not the normal hose fittings will fit the minibore hose?

No minibore doesn't work off normal connectors, your dad  probably has half inch hose very similar to tricoflex but a bit smoother.

Yes, but you need an adaptor to take the hose from 8mm to 12mm. Cost around a £1
