dose any one have a split charge relay on there vaxhall combo old shape
as i bought one an cannot find the d+wire on the alternator
it has to connect to this so it dosent interfear with the main battery
on the alternator there is a plug connector with the wires in it what colour is the d+wire
no messing and guesing please as if not the correct one it will blow the electrics anyone thanks in advance

I dont see why you cannot connect to the battery so long as you have an inline 20 amp fuse then it will work fine. I had my wired in a combo first and thats how they did it. I had caravan specialists do mine.
I run it on the same set up now in my primastar.

i thought about that but the instructions say d+wire so it wont flatten your main battery the d+wire aparently comes live when you switch on your engin and goes negertive when you turn it off i think it will be better this way as it dosent interfear with the main battery charging it has a 20 amp fuse in line with another 20 amp fuse and a 1 amp fuse its a good heavy duety relay so i am told may have to take it to a sparki ;)

On my van there are only 2 wires coming out of the alternator, on quite big, the other small.
The wire you want is the thin one,... its just an indicator lamp wire and carries very little voltage. The thick wire is the charging wire... avoid connecting to that!

If your alternator is the 2 wire one, then its the thin one, this is the charging light on your dash board.
