I had a phone call from a customer claimng that i had scratched one of their windows i have yet to see the window or the scratch. The only way i could see to a scratch being created is a peice of grit in a bird poo.Any replies welcome

Go back to the custy, get them to hold the pole and turn the water on, then tell them to try to scratch another window.
Let them inspect the brush head and ask them how they suppose it could scratch the glass. Tell them the insurance company will want to inspect the equipment and they will throw out any claim.

i had one of these a couple of years ago, i took an old mirror that i had, rested it in a board on the floor, grabbed the brush with both hands and scrubbed like (guess the next word). and guess what? no scratches!! Even if there was a piece of grit i doubt enough force could be exherted by a pole/brush combo to scratch glass, just my thoughts.

what ever you do dont accept the blame, you dont want word going around your customers that you scratch windows, might not be good for buissness. very doubtfull it was wfp that scratched the glass anyway.i think tosh posted a reply some time ago where he did a test on some glass and managed to scratch it,so it can be done, but a very rare thing to happen i would have thought.
