Title: Foil Business cards
Post by: lands on May 16, 2008, 05:43:04 pm
Does anyone know what the foil effect is on a business card and is worth paying a little extra for?

Pete

I think it's like a metalic print effect. Like they do gold leaf rubbed on to something. It does look classy which would suit your niche.

Getting slowly better ditched the walking stick today . Thanks for asking Pete ;)
Sorry Joe. In one to those moods today.
Seriously, Its called Hot Foil Printing. I used to have one about 18 years ago.
You can print pens, key fobs and all sorts of things.
Its a manual machine you pull the handle and the hot plate makes contact with the foil and the item to be printed on. The set up can be a bit fiddly but once set you can fire out a fair amount in an hour.
Could be worth looking at.
Heres a link. www.hot-foil.co.uk/
Cheers
Rab.
