Yes I do MBS, and thanks.
Ian has also put a great link on his webpage as well, so am well chuffed.
The amount of time he has put into dealing with it for me is first rate, and the advice he has given me about business as well as this website has really helped with immediate returns  ;D

you get alot  more than a web site from ian he will help with almost anything
i had a few probs but his advice sorted them
other web designers will not give you the time of the day unless its about what you are paying them for if you get my point ;)

So true, he is like a business advisor really which is brilliant.
When I first thought about getting a website I was hounded by one of the website people, it was horrible. I had made an enquiry and they would not leave me alone.
With Ian its more like talking to a mate, and of course marketing expert, and I have put some of his ideas to the test & they work  ;D

Very good website.  Nice and simple and to the point.

Spotted a typo though, on the 'About us' page

"We have an ever going base of commer..."

should be ever growing base of...

other than that its cool as.

Tennet .you missed the comma b4 "and" on the, I think ninth line down. Never correct to have a comma b4 and.

Thanks Art, and ta for the sarcasm guys... I love it, its an art form I think  ;)
I have briefly spoken to Simon about his work DJW, but at the time he was trying to sell the whole set up. Must admit that at the moment we are trying to stand on our own, and attempting to canvass our own work.
We have bought work in the past, and it has helped us to get really going and add more custies on top of the existing work, but there comes a time when you have to get it yourself, and that is where we want to be now.
Hopefully it will work for us..... :)

Nice looking site, i think the logo could look a lot more slicker though, other than that it looks a fresh and clean site ;)

Thanks Chris & Groundhog !!
It cost £200, it includes hosting & the domain and stuff like that that I have no idea about.
Ian got me work while he was doing it as well, as when you join up with him you join his windowwashers family, and that brought in a bit before the website was up & running!
I will keep you all posted with what comes in, now that is the most interesting bit for me...... ;)

Have you played around by tapping into your search engine to pick it up yet? Does it find it easily if you were to tap in something like "windowcleaner Devizes"?

I went live yesterday,  it takes time to get a natrual listing on google ;)

What does going live mean? Someones built one for me for nothing, just to get his hand in really so it's all gobbledygook to me. I let him go ahead as i wasn't too bothered about having one. Might want to change things later though.

The site went live only yesterday, and on google we appear on nearly every first page when you type in eg window cleaners Devizes.........
Fair play to Ian, he knows his stuff... ;D

I promised to let you all know if the website is pulling in work.....and the answer is ........ YES!!!!
Just landed a commercial quote from it, that pays for the website & then some!!
Also have been getting in a steady flow of domestics, some very meaty ones wanting gutter/fascia/soffit cleans. One we are doing on Friday is worth £90 so the website is now contributing a steady flow of customers.
Got another commercial quote to do tomorrow... wish me luck... ;D

Totally Ian  ;D
Thanks for all your help. Having a window cleaner, and someone who clearly knows what he is doing when building a website, well it's a big advantage for any company starting out. You have a clear understanding of what I wanted, and knew how to make it work.

I said that the most interesting thing would be if it generated work... and it clearly does so ta very muchly  ;D

Dale,
The site and layout looks fine to me..but I would like to point out that reading the text is a bit hard on my eyes, lol.
If you make the text size a tad bigger and not all in bold....imo the reading will be easy...
