Title: Speedster problem
Post by: Dave Roelants on May 14, 2008, 08:02:37 am
I have a Speedster which I use as a back up machine, it will build up pressure up to 400psi but as soon as the wand trigger is pressed it drops to virtually zero. Any Ideas? Don't know much about portables, does anyone know who could service this machine in the Nort-West?

Hi Dave,
is there a filter on the intake side of the pump? if there is it sounds like it could be blocked?

          All the best
                            John

Hi Dave,
Sounds like the pressure numpty has takin a knock, easily done.
Try pulling it to the right, Hope its that simple.
Cheers

Could try putting an open solution pipe, with the pump running, into the suction inlet with the vac motors running. If some blockage somewhere might suck it through. Worked on my CFR500.

I had the same idea as Mike. There is a lever to the left of the pressure numpty. turn on pump, push lever to the right and hold for a good 30 secs or until you hear a distinct change in tone from the pump. The pump is then primed

Yes Mike, but if the pressure numpty takes a knock it seems to let a small amount of air in
so your constantly having to prime it.

I'm always bashing it, one day it will just fall off.

But that's another story.
