Title: Anybody any ideas on a DIY gutter vac?
Post by: davids3511 on May 11, 2008, 12:57:15 am
As the header really. I am nowhere near being able to afford a pucker gutter vac. I am guessing they are a wet and dry industrial vac connected to an extra long (and wide) vac hose.

The industrial vacs are quite reasonable, can be had for about £180, but I am not sure on the rest of the equipment. Anybody got any ideas?

Window cleaning is the most dangerous job in the UK, while being a vicar is one of the safest, according to a new report. The threat of falling off a ladder was given as the main reason by Churchill Insurance for ranking the job so highly in a league table of risky professions.

You can penny pinch and waste time and money building your own or you can go out and buy the Omnivac. Its a superior machine and will earn its keep very quickly.

If you need spares or modifications,  Glynn H  or the lovely Andrea, from Omnipole will sort you out in seconds.

I have the full set up including omnivac camers, generators etc, in fact its all now trailer mounted (sign written) as I use it at least 2-3 times a week and I charge top dollar for a so far unique service. Be professional earn professional money.

Don't get me wrong but I'm a business man not an inventor. I leave that to people with the knowledge and skills. The Health and Safety really don't like bodge jobs that fall apart injuring you or you staff. There are many benefits to owning a professional system in my opinion.

I am sure there are benifits to owning a pro system but as my first post indicated I do not have the spare cash for a pro system. It is DIY or ladders right now.
