How long do you reckon a brush should last then ? Mine's done 3 months now, and is looking tatty....
-
longer than that

Just replaced my 18ft poles after 2 years service brushes are tatty but still work well.

I only have the one brush, an 18 inch single filament one as supplied by Peter Fogwill.
Has been working flat out at least 5 hours a day since April 2004 and still looks in good nick ;D
Not the brush head itself, that bit looks like it has had a bit of hammer :-\ But the bristles and fan jets are in perfect condition ;)
3 months isn't long :-\

:o I must be working it too hard then....lol
-
I have the same brush and it looks a mess after 1 month! >:(
-
What make ? (though they all look much the same)...mine came with my omnipole......and that's another gripe....bloomin' twistlocks don't last long before they wont 'grip' tight anymore !
-
I have no idea what the make of the brush is, Peter would certainly tell you, I'm pretty sure that it is just a lightweight sweeping brush head, it isn't a custom made WFP brush head.
I might be doing Peter a grave miss-justice there, but I am sure he converts them himself.
I really haven't had a problem with it at all, at one point I was going to get another brushead, perhaps a 10 inch or 14 inch one.
I was going to go for one of the 'multi-filament' ones, but I understand that they become contanimated more easily.
I wouldn't mind a longer bristled one, I saw a guy using wFP a couple of years ago and I did notice that the bristles of his brush were quite long. Unfortunately he has since moved out of the area, and as I wasn't looking into WFP at the time (his was a full trailer system that cost him 8 grand or so somewhere between 3 and 4 years ago, ergo, way too expensive for me at that time :'() I never knew what make of system his was.

Ian, the brush is made by Salmon, I take the bristles out and fit the connectors.
The jets are made with modified 6mm blank plugs, a smaller version of the blank plug you have on the side of your pump box.
The reason I use these brushes is because I personally liked them more than the other brushes on the market. The main feature of the brush I liked was the lightness at the end of the pole. The reason it is so light is it is about half the width of normal brushes this size, and doesn't make any difference whatsoever on the quality of the clean.

The brush has worked well for the month but now the bristles are worn and when i do a window i can hear the plastic scraping across the pane or the frame, i think it needs to be thicker and longer (bristles not head).
-
Good grief Leyla :o
How on earth have you worn it out in only a month! Mine gets very heavy use 5 days a week and has done since April, the white plastic as I said above is looking pretty battered but the bristles don't look any different now to what they were when I got my system.
I think Peter has made up a first rate brush, the fan jets have just the right spead too.

Leyla, do you have one of my brushes?

yes, but i wasnt going to say that on here :)
I dont think i've been doing anything too strenuous with it. Just frames and panes.
-
Sorry about that, it must just have been a bad one in the batch. What is your name and I will send you another one? I wouldn't mind the old one back to have a look and see what could have went wrong with it?
Thanks,
