Title: tripping hazards-hoses how to cover yourself.
Post by: dandandan on May 07, 2008, 10:16:48 pm
I have insurance but i am constantly worrying when doing a job were someone could trip over my hose, are you covered if you have warning signs etc,are the mats to cover you hoses a good thing, all i was doing at a job recently was stopping to warn people to watch they don`t trip, you always get an ambulance chaser.i only work out of van you see and if the customer doesn`t have a driveway i have to trail my hose across pavement and i know i am taking a chance, has anyone been sued?

Its impossible to remove all risks but you need to take reasonable steps to prevent the accidents, I just put a couple of cones at each end of the site. Window cleaning warehouse do "caution trailing hoses trip hazard " but how far do you go after all you could get one done in every language !!! Immigrants sue as well !!!!!!!!!! :'(
