Just upgraded my phone to a blackberry today - anyone use one and if so was it any hassle setting up the e-mail function ?

I use a Blackberry, so much harder than using a Sony Erricson that I had before, but geTting used to it now after a month, I access me emails and more, I resent the fact that Blackberry want to take an extra ten pounds a month from you for the full service.

Its a really nice phone when you get used to it, far better than the I Phone, I had loads of problems with it and got rid ages ago. I will stop moaning about the Blackberry fee now ::)

Just spent the last hour setting it up - haven't got to the email part yet, too late in the evening to get my head round that yet !

There are 2 ways you can run a blackberry, BES or BIS, BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) doesnt cost anymore but you do need to run a server to make it work, that way you can avoid the £10-£15/month. Check it out on Blackberrys forum. BES also gives you full auotmatic, immediate and remote updates on Outlook including calendar, contacts and tasks

I've got to take it back today - they have given me a handset that has the BES option only on it. So they are going to swap it.
Must admit its taking a lot of getting used to, so many sub menus.

Got a Apple iphone, it's no extra for email or the web and so so simple even I can use it. plus has google maps on it, and it play tunes! can i can watch you tube as well. Sad ain't it !

I have the Apple I phone and think it is fantastic and all of the data downloads is included in the month charge. Brilliant.

Got myself a Blackberry 4 years ago. Seemed all the rage. Did I use it for let alone half the things it was capable of, NO. Passed it on to my wife. She uses it for the basic function, 99% as a phone. Maybe brings it out at her coffee klatch mornings as a dated status symbol, who knows. Highly over-rated for the practicalities of normal day requirements. We all have to many other communication devices available to need this

Ive had mine for a year now and can't wait to go back to a nokia
The roller ball keeps getting stuck so am always taking it to bits, never did get the internet to work on it as the wrong drivers were on the CD they gave me and struggled to download anything from there web site. I also get a lot of sim card errors, when i put my card in old phone no problem. The game is cr*p and there is no radio. Apart from that its fantastic :D.

I’ve only got a phone n70 it dose other thing I think, wife has a palm treo it runs her life, mutton Jeff but a god send

I have a Blackberry 8120 on 02 and it works like a dream have had no probs whatsoever!
Email was a breeze to set up, Internet and WI-FI are fantastic it really is a great all round unit which is ideal for business and much better then the i-phone and any other phone I have used infact!

Thought you needed the porty I stayed indoors all-day ;D waiting for your call how many times I don’t do text or e-mail in work time. :D

you need to have the network put a service on the phone that cost £9 a mth its an backberry email account that points to your email. just call your network and they will do it all for you.
just be careful if you get lots of junk email you phone will be going off all night. its best to run two emails so that when it goes off you now its business....
