Title: Shortage Of Window Cleaners
Post by: DASERVICES on May 04, 2008, 02:50:41 pm
In certain areas of Scotland there now seems to be a shortage of window cleaners which is a good thing as we are now starting to price reasonably. Before window cleaners were struggling to get £3.50 for a terraced house now prices have gone upto £6.00+.

People are now accepting these prices as a lot of firms that were targeting the domestic market with low prices have pulled out due to Enforcement Officers now getting tough on licensing.

WFP is now also having an impact as before there would be only one or two people with wfp now this has doubled which is also good for the market. Also a lot of us are starting to network with each other, to date I must have passed on £600+ of calls to other window cleaners. They have done likewise.

Prices are still to low in my opinion but hopefully in time to come our Industry will become stronger.

I'd say there is a national shortage of decent window cleaners.

Those of us who do a proper job are in short supply ;D ;D

i live in scotland and haven't went door knocking once. All my work has came to me through jobs i have done and they tell friends etc or they just stop and ask me.

Working in my towns main street most days does help me though quite a lot. I reckon if i wa smore proactive i could get loads of work.
