Title: Commercial work snowballing!!!
Post by: groundhog on May 03, 2008, 09:25:39 am
In the last few weeks I have been inundated with letters from different property management companies and various businesses requiring my services!! Some of them I quoted for several months ago and had virtually forgotten about! I have got to go to 2 meetings next week to discuss terms on contracts. I can't understand why it's happened all at once, perhaps they have changed their policies and are now looking to use smaller contractors to save money due to the economy? Things are looking good though!! May have to take someone on or sell some of my domestics at this rate!!! ???

Has anyone else found that they are getting more enquiries from larger businesses lately?

I have quoted for the nhs (Bognor Hospital) but that was some time ago, and it looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years!!! I never heard back from them, I think they were looking for a very cheap quote!!!!!

we quoted over 150 sites for the nhs about 3 months ago the contract has been awarded to a management company. then they will recieve qoutes then contact companys. it all takes time. we find on big contracts like the nhs there is a big gap between cleans when the contracts are changed over. good luck

150 sites! Wow!!! I only got to quote on the one hospital, it was pretty big though! and I know that if I was to get the job it could lead to more work.

Funny, I wouldn't have thought you needed it with all those £30 four bed houses you do and those millionaire properties you target (remember)?  ;D

Don`t sell to many of those domestics if i was you, with commercial you`ll be the first to feel the brunt when it comes to cutting costs.A mix of commercial and domestic is more secure overall.

My system does the same job as any expensive system, and was put together for very little money, which = more profit for me!!!!!!! ;D

There's alot of companies  that get allocated there budget for the year around this time. Looks like you've had a bit of luck with a few of them.

Well done

It has an average sized conservatory on the house and a small annexe, its right out in the sticks. Not a bad little job, which I clean monthly!!!  ;D
