Saw a young lad today doing wfp , but I felt really sorry for him cos i knew he was new to it ! He was snagging the pipe on bushes and really struggling with it ! Is this the most annoying part of the job ?

this is very anoying.
am a newbie water fed pole and the hose does my head in! swearing under my breath alot ;D starting to learn were to put the hose now tho
better than ladders tho its strange its alot of hastle but... i would rarther get the pole out and clean 2/3 story windows than get a 3 story ladder out or what ever. still alot of my work is ladders as i have a trolley system.

Snagging is more of a problem when you have the tap attached to the bottom of the pole, as you have a massive loop to get snagged on stuff.
OTOH it's quicker to have the tap to hand, and uses less water (quicker on/off)

With experience snagging hoses become less and less as you learn where to place hose and notice potential problem areas
