Someone was talking ab out putting in another resin vessel to help keep the resin replacement down.
Does this apply if you have a 18 litre vessel like mine? Or does it only really make a difference if you have a smaller one, such as 9 litres?
Does doubling the capacity of resin logically lead to a doubling in the length of time before changing resin?

A twin DI system WILL save money and resin. But best if they are of the same size.

This applies whatever size DI canisters you have.
If you use a single vessel, when the TDS rises to say 003 you throw it away and re-fill. In a twin system, this second vessel would now become the first canister purifying water down to 003 the second (freshly filled vessel) would then only have to process from 003 (variable over time) down to 000. When the TDS rises again you repeat the process and swap the final canister to be the first canister and re-fill the old first canister and it now becomes the second vessel.
This will not double the time the resin last, but should give you about 70% longer life from each litre of resin.

I ve been doing this for a couple of years now ,I use two 11ltr di vessels it saves me about a bag of resin a year ,I only use two bags a year as the water in lancashire or the part i live in,is nice and soft the water only has a TDS on av of between 30-40,and i have told a number of other window cleaners to do this and they think its great so it does work;D ;D ;D ;D ;D;D
