Title: colour run
Post by: Mike Halliday on April 30, 2008, 07:56:19 pm
I've just transferred some photos of my old laptop onto my new one so here's some interesting ones.

one show how it should be, the second shows how the piping has run.

Used to be plagued by colour runs many years ago, the notorious thin red stripe comes to mind.

now yiou have mentioned colour runs, what do you think has happened here,
its a pic of the side of settee, side panel and arm rest ,
the difference was really noticable......... pointed this out to custy whosaid she had a steam cleaner and had had a go, she showed me a draylon chair she had all but ruined and a rug thatwasnt looking to good either.
any way , quite happy for me to clean , but must admit , I should have been a little more wary ::)

guess what everbody happy untill husband rang day later .

" you have ruined the suite, it cost a fortune "   oh dear why did I get them to sign a disclaimer :'(

went down , and straight away i knew what the hubby was after, no reasoning at defenitly same colour as sides before i cleaned etc ect.
I let him rant on for 10 minutes, and hit him with
"well thats exacltly why I took a number of pics before I cleaned "
His face dropped a mile, he was as quiet as a mouse.

yes , i got the reaction i hoped for , and never heard another thing . the prat was trying it on .

lesson learnt,

geoff

That's the beauty of camera phones, I always take photos of before and after if I have any concerns.
