Thanks mingram.the white 40/40 as ionics and and others use,the housing has the seals on both ends just hadnt a seal at the top[out] end of the membrane which is normal{just been informed}.Had them both connected up to the outside tap with no other filters but i couldnt work out why the the waste water was far greater than the ro water{even with a hose lock garden sprayer attached to the waste pipe to try and restrict the waste flo rate ,the ro water stayed at just trickle.Had a reading of 450 going in and around 30 coming out so the ro,s are working .Possible that i may get hold of another 2 so if anyone would be interested in one we can maybe work some thing out,
I would be interested  ;)

not sure but i have a garage system with same40/40 ro running fine of the same  tap ?
sounds to me that the ro is flushing on full hence the waste water
